The Box is the basic mold for the block. The dimensions of the cavity are 12"x6"x6". The pin you see midway up on the left edge provides a rotation point for the yoke during the ejection. The slot on the wide face(s) confines the action of the yoke to a vertical path, pushing the bottom straight up.

The 2 side channels provide a stable base for the machine. The channels are pulled away from the sides of the box to give space to the bottom end of the yoke. The axle for the yoke/bottom hits the channels, defining the bottom of the stroke.
